Though the current school year has ended, fun and learning will never stop as Philippine Science Centrum kicks off its “scienterrific summer offerings”.
Assemble & Launch
A water rocket workshop and competition will happen on May 16-17, 2014 (8AM to 5PM). It is aimed to promote interest on Space Science and Physics. Kids ages 10 – 16 are encouraged to join in teams of two (2). Learn how to assemble their own rockets made out of 1.5L PET bottles. They will participate on an Accuracy Contest afterwards.

Teachers’ Training
DOST Balik Scientist and Science Centrum Scientist Residence Prof. Cora Salumbides will facilitate a “Hands-On Minds-On: Microscale Chemistry” (HOMOMICH) Workshop on May 12, 2014 (8AM to 5PM). This event will feature different experiments from the “Laboratory in a Box” starter kit.
Learning investment: P3,300, inclusive of Lab Box, hand outs, certificate, meals and a tour of the Philippine Science Centrum.
