Taiwan Excellence-accredited products on display at SIP 2018

The award-giving body was spotted at the country’s largest and longest running trade show for cutting-edge technology last August 16-18, 2018 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia, Pasay City.

Twenty-two brands shared their tech products at the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion (Booths G01-G05) during this year’s System Integration Philippines (SIP). In attendance included familiar company names such as Acer, Asus, BenQ, Gigabye, MSI and Transcend. Many of the technologies presented during the event are not yet readily available to the Philippine market and I hope that after SIP, they will find local distributors to work with.

Here are some interesting products to watch out for:

The Boxlight Mimio Projector enables the user to write on top of your Powerpoint presentation without using markers/chalk or buy a special screen. This is totally useful not just for schools but also for office meeting/conference rooms.

For those who want to lighten up their spaces without worrying about electricity costs, there’s the LED Mini Star & LED Glass Brick by Lei Yueh Enterprise. LED Mini Star is an ultra-slim and lightweight light source that uses only 3.25 watts per fixture, best used in shelves. LED Glass Brick, on the other hand, provides stunning color change effect and ideal for special lighting and decorative needs such as for display cases or architectural accents (you can place it on ceiling or floor!).

A digital camera made of eco-friendly paper called Paper Shoot is perfect for photography enthusiasts. It is lightweight, has built-in photo effects, powered by two AAA alkaline batteries and supports up to 32GB SD card. It also has switchable cases and lens. Paper Shoot is easy to operate and can be your child’s, niece’s or nephew’s first camera!

Another interesting product is SleepBank, a device that emits an extremely low frequency for improved sleep quality. I think it is worth a shot if you have been taking sleeping pills and looking for an alternative solution.

Aside from the tech on display at the Taiwan Excellence booth, they also hosted seminars on topics ranging from LED lighting to Smart City solutions at the SMX Convention Center Meeting Rooms 2 and 3.
