I got into looking for clothes to pin up on one of my Pinterest boards. I suddenly remembered that next week will be the earliest time for one of my plans to be put in motion and I don’t have proper clothes for it.
I honestly don’t have the budget to go shopping now, since I haven’t been paid yet for any of my projects. Hopefully either I get money next week and buy some essentials or the start date gets rescheduled or another plan pushes through.
Me, shopping? Surprise, surprise! My friends know me getting most of my clothes hands-me-down (ala Harry Potter). I do buy some rarely and alone. :))
See the styles I’m aiming for, smart casual ones that are suitable for tropical weather (with little alterations considering my size :3):
Now some shoes. I’m not a fan of heels, since (1) I’m tall enough and (2) I can’t stand on them all day. For women like me who are size 9 (or bigger), I usually buy from bazaars or Sm Department Store’s Parisian. Here you go~
A better fitting bag for my look. As much as possible I stray away from shoulder bags. I’m more of a back pack/sling bag type of girl. Easier to travel with. 🙂
Aside from the design and the number of pockets, I consider also if my netbook will fit on it and it is secured enough (but not too much zippers etc.). Why not a laptop bag? If I want something that doesn’t look like a laptop bag (a.k.a. not plain), it’ll cost me a lot.
Don’t forget a handy dandy umbrella for the unpredictable weather. I buy mine from Fibrella. Next time I’ll buy one with UV protection.
That’s just the smart casual clothes and accessories. I have to remake my whole wardrobe since most clothes in my closet are those of when I was weighing 54-56 kg and my size was medium.
