Provincial Government of Tarlac in partnership with the Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines, and the Open Data Philippines will conduct the first ever hackathon event in the province on January 24-25, 2015.
#HackTarlac2015 will be a two day competition and gathering of developers, designers and data gurus at SP Session Hall, Tarlac Capitol, Tarlac City that aims to provide technological solutions to existing issues and challenges of the province.
Help solve local issues in the field of tourism, governance, employment and health care through developing web or mobile applications.
Registration starts at 8:00AM followed by briefing, lightning talks, and breakout sessions. Hacking starts at noon of January 24 and will at noon of January 25. Mentors will be available on site for any consultations. They are free to use any language, framework, and APIs provided they submit fresh code.
Teams will have four (4) minutes to pitch their application to a panel of judges and will be allotted three (3) minutes for Q&A. Scores will be based on presentation and code review. Cash prizes await winners!
