The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Jakarta (HKETO Jakarta), together with the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) in Manila, kicked off the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region’s (HKSAR) 25th anniversary celebrations in the Philippines.
The media event held on October 12 in Bonifacio Global City showcased Hong Kong’s latest developments in terms of arts, culture and tourism through Mr Sheung-yuen LEE, Director-General, HKETO and Mr Raymond CHAN, Regional Director of Southeast Asia, HKTB.
The commemorative “Heading Home”, sung by HK’s top singers and celebrities, was played during the event to share the joy and excitement of this important milestone.
Actress Isabelle Daza and host/actor/model Richard Juan also shared their personal experiences and tourist spot recommendations as Hong Kong Super Fans.
One of the activity highlights in the Philippines was the “Marvels in Hong Kong: 25 Years and Beyond” roving exhibition at the Ayala Malls Manila Bay Activity Center last October 14-16. This provided insight on the business and trade appeal of Hong Kong as well as the latest information on tourism and cultural offerings of its diverse neighbourhoods.
