What better way to kick off my series of summer activities than pumping my adrenaline through various outdoor activities at the Sandbox, located in Alviera, Porac, Pampanga!
First thing I had in mind the first time I heard about Sandbox from my friend Dialyn, I immediately thought about Marvel: Agents of Shield (yep, I’m such a fan!) Moving on.. 😛
After a few hours on the road from Trinoma, I found myself surrounded by a sandy terrain.
Alviera Sandbox is the township’s first attraction, offering a unique summer getaway for both kids and kids at heart. It is easily accessible from Porac exit (NLEX-SCLEX) and boasts a number of attractions and adventure courses.

In my book, the craziest thing I have ever done so far in my entire existence (I’m not kidding!) was ride the Giant Swing. It took us 10-meters high up in the air (the tallest swing in the Philippines!), waited for a minute or two, before letting gravity do its thing. Definitely “an unforgettable and exhilarating swing”, I’m glad I didn’t decide to do it on my own. *sigh of relief*
In the open field, we got to fly kites. I imagined a regular-sized kite but it was fun nonetheless! Guests can also play Frisbee or fly RC planes here. 🙂
We signed up for ATV / UTV but due to time constraints, we didn’t get to ride one. I don’t know how to drive so it was fine. If biking is more your thing, Alviera Sandbox has a 5000 sqm pump track open for all types of bikes and skill levels.
If you want to test your agility, balance and flexibility, the Aerial Walk Challenge is for you. An active guest can make his way through this course in about 30 minutes.
Fly like Superman 180 meters down on Avatar One, the country’s first roller coaster zipline. Or climb, rappel, free fall or enjoy the best view of Alviera from 5-storey structure (15m high) called the Adventure Tower.
Alviera Sandbox also offers a themed kiddie playground with picnic areas, mini-golf, and camping sites.
