I was never a make up person but I care a lot about my hair and my nails. I try to stay away from cheap salons because they made my nails brittle.
I signed up as a (kinda) last minute replacement for my blogger friend for this spa visit. It was one of my lazy moments and I didn’t research beforehand about the establishment before going as I wanted to get an authentic experience as well.
Nail Cocktales Hand and Foot Spa is not your usually nail salon. The word “cocktales” refers to cocktails + tales — a place where friends or family can converse while getting pampered, with a drink in hand. Their fifth branch, located on the 2nd floor of Blue Bay Walk (which highly resembles Bonifacio High Street) is where I met with co-(beauty) bloggers Kathy Kenny, Alice, Monica, Stephanie and Arnie 🙂
Nail Cocktales offers a variety of services for the hand, nail, foot, and skin: hand care, foot care, nail art, gel polish, paraffin spa treatment, massage and waxing.
Tag your boyfriend/husband or kids along and they’ll never get bored! Nail Cocktales is the first to offer spa services catering to men and kids. Avail of their SPAbulous party packages for special occasions like birthdays or bridal showers, starting at P5,000.
Daring to be different? Take advantage of their wide range of nail polish and nail art designs.
Nail Cocktales Hand and Foot Care Review
Moving on.. it wouldn’t be Nail Cocktales if we don’t have a Nail Cocktail on hand while sitting on comfy, princess chairs while making chikka and jamming with my co-blogger friends 🙂
I chose Yummylicious for my hand and foot care treatment, which includes a manicure, pedicure and Salted Caramel dessert scent foot spa. Yes, salted caramel! They also have something with chocolate and another with banana! Nail Cocktales got someone to formulate their special scents using organic ingredients. Smell and feels yummylicious indeed! <3
Ms. Geraldine was doing my manicure while another nail technician was doing my foot spa. Afterwards, the former also cleaned my toe nails and she also taught me something new about my toe nails 🙂
For my nail color, I wanted something light but not boring. Ruby Wing Color Changing Polish “Rose” seems to be the best choice. It turns to a darker shade of pink when temperature changes. I wanted to try the gel polish but I was told it was a hassle to remove 🙁
The cleaning process was pretty standard but what makes Nail Cocktales stand out is the genuine care shown by their nail technicians. They are approachable, courteous (always saying “excuse me” whenever my feet was moved in and out of the water), careful with how my nails and cuticle were cleaned and makes sure I feel comfortable. The treatment comes with a massage and I feel wanton after that. They ask you if you want a hard massage or not, which I’m very thankful for because I’m not fond of hard massages. Ms. Geraldine had problems removing nail polish on my toes. For some reason she has to resort in buffing it off and she was very patient until the end. Using organic stuff was a big plus too, knowing how well taken of our nails and skin are. And did I mention they use nail polish free from formaldehyde 🙂
Nail Cocktales Half Leg Wax Review
With my nails done, I decided to go all out and get my legs waxed. I’ve been wearing shorts/skirts and for once I want people to look at my legs not because it’s unshaven, but because it looks smooth and soft.. haha! 😛
It’s my first time to use wax (I use Veet for super special occasions) and Ms. Geraldine (who also did my nails) was very patient in answering my questions. Nail Cocktales use Depileve Wax products which is ideal for extra-sensitive skin 🙂
Here’s a sneak peak of the procedure:
The process may look messy but cleanliness was maintained throughout. The wax was never too hot for me either. Funny that I thought I was going to cry and that my co-bloggers were expecting me to shout in pain. In reality, it depends on your pain tolerance and how badly you think of it (I find it tolerable) :p

I love that Nail Cocktales caters to everyone and at reasonable prices too! Imagine having to choose whatever nail polish brand you like without having to pay premium for it. Service is something you can’t match with any amount and I’m happy their staff is well trained and dedicated in what they do.
Thank you Nail Cocktales Blue Bay Walk for the great service that kicked off my week and Ms. Kathy Kenny Ngo for the invite! Visit them soon! 🙂

Hi sir! Kindly refer back to the mechanics and answer the questions. Thank you! 🙂
I’ll avail the normal pedicure service which I needed most right now. I’ve experienced full manicure and pedicure before, when I worked in Dubai City, which my friend recommended. I was totally happy with the result that I gave 10 dirhams as a tip. In addition, my feet felt refreshed when I put on my shoes.
I will be availing a therapeutic cqlming foot massage to pamper my tired calloused feet. My most unforgettable experience with spa was when I had my first pedicure. I was so afraid I’m gonna get ingrown as I had been reading a lot of stuff about it. I was surprised too that there is a blush for footsies. I loved the way my feet looked after the treatment.
