[Update: February 29, 2020] Let’s make sure you book a DOT-accredited Boracay accommodation, following the island’s re-opening last October 26, 2018.

Everyone’s excited to see and experience the world-acclaimed beach island after its 6-month closure. Many of you might have re/booked tickets already and preparing your Boracay itinerary!

If you’re looking for a place to stay, here’s some good news from the Department of Tourism (DOT). DOT published a new bulletin on Facebook last February 28, 2020 with 394 fully-compliant and accredited accommodations, for a total of 14,289 rooms available for bookings.

The said Boracay accommodations have permits and clearances from DILG and DENR plus accreditation from DOT. This is in pursuit of the No Compliance, No Opening policy of the Boracay Inter-Agency Task Force.
