A good gastronomic experience can uplift someone’s mood, but what better way to end one’s day than to be pampered? This is one of life’s guilty pleasures. If we could have it every after a busy or stressful day at work or school, we would forget our worries away and life will somehow become better.

And for a day, I experience that. Done with the Ilocandia cuisine, it was time for some RnR in their Ilocano-themed wellness spa next door.

Even with the advancement of today’s technology and the multitude of things we are able to enjoy during our free time, it’s not surprising people would rather spend time on social networking sites or go out with their friends to places among other things. Not that I don’t, but it seems they have forgotten about the so-called simple pleasures in life.

One of them is reading, which has always been part of my daily activities. My first read of the day usually happens while I’m having breakfast and it doesn’t matter what material it is or where I read it. My goal is to learn something or to stimulate my mind and get ready for the work ahead.

Sometimes there are people who comes up to me and ask what camera they should buy.

Point and shoot? Mirrorless? Bridge? Micro four-thirds? DSLR? Canon? Nikon? Pentax? etc.

Most people would like to have a DSLR because they want to enhance their skills or just because it makes them feel ‘pro’. I usually tell them it depends on their needs and budget. Taking into consideration their personality, I give them a suggestion without giving a specific brand and mode.
