My smartphone? It wakes me up on time, entertains me while on transit, keeps me focused on my tasks and most importantly helps me document my day.
Between meetings, photo opportunities and me time, it pays to have something you can rely on without breaking the bank. This holds especially true when you live in the Social Media and Selfie capital of the world. #pressure
ASUS Philippines introduced a wide range of products this year, including five new lifestyle-oriented smartphones under the ZenFone family. Let’s take a look at one of their offerings that will delight self-portrait-loving friends.
I’m used to 5-inch smartphones that fit exactly on one hand. The ASUS Zenfone Selfie is one size bigger (5.5″) but I need not to worry that the phone might slip because it was ergonomically designed. Swiping my thumb for the first time, the display’s smoothness caught me off guard. After taking a lot of photos in no time using the screen gesture feature ZenMotion and playing games, my fingerprints barely made an impression which makes a screen protector out of question.
The ASUS ZenFone Selfie comes with what people would call “bloatware” – a set of unwanted, preinstalled software by the manufacturer that usually takes up a lot of storage space and RAM. There’s more than thirty (30) of them in fact.. and ASUS made sure you’ll find them all useful and beautiful thanks to ZenUI. No need to go over the Google Play Store for random apps, I only had to install my other essentials such as Instagram, Veems, Slack, Waze, GrabTaxi, and Spotify.
Of course, this post wouldn’t be complete without talking about the PixelMaster cameras – 13MP with Dual LED Real Tone flash on both rear and front plus various modes to play around with! Yey for awesome selfies and drool-worthy food shots! 😀

The first and second Instagram photos were taken on Auto mode while I used the Super Resolution mode for the last one. This post is filled with lots of selfie photos and a video.
Extra pogi points for the 3000mAh removable battery! Even if I’m always connected via WiFi or 3G, I only have to charge twice a day through a wall outlet or my 10000mAh ZenPower when I’m on the move.

Wow! Love the specs. Not bad for the price though.
Ang ganda!!! I would love to have a Zenfone too! 🙂 Sana I get to be lucky enough to be a part of their ambassadors someday wahahaha 🙂
Hello Jhanz, work on your blog and pray about it 🙂
Say, I’ve been canvassing on my prospect phone for months. And frankly, after seeing this from several of my friends, I’m quite convinced. Asus Zenfone Selfie suited my interest. The price makes it up for the quality so I don’t think it ain’t sulit at all.
If this one’s still in the market, I might buy one.
