Where to (legally) stay in Boracay.

Let’s make sure you book a DOT-accredited Boracay accommodations, ahead of the island’s re-opening on October 26, 2018.

Everyone’s excited to see and experience the world acclaimed beach island after its 6-month closure. Many of you might have re/booked tickets already and preparing your Boracay itinerary!

If you’re looking for a place to stay, here’s some good news from the Department of Tourism (DOT).

The agency issued a bulletin with an initial list of Boracay accommodations that have complied with government requirements to operate. A total of 2,063 rooms from 25 hotels and resorts are ready for bookings as of August 31:

The said Boracay accommodations have permits and clearances from DILG and DENR. They are waiting to receive their accreditation from DOT. This is in pursuit of the No Compliance, No Opening policy of the Boracay Inter-Agency Task Force.
