[Hotel] Azalea Residences Baguio: Family Fun and Comforting Conveniences

April 15, 2016

After a business trip to Baguio slated sometime in January 2016 that didn’t materialize, I didn’t think I’d be visiting the Summer Capital of the Philippines anytime soon.

Azalea Residences Baguio is home away from home and an opportunity to spend time here is not one to pass up. So despite the trip being scheduled on a work week, I asked for permission from my manager immediately. Fast forward to March 29, I met up with fellow bloggers and we took a van up north.

We arrived past lunch time. Immediately after settling down by the bar, drinks and snack were served while Sir Paul, head concierge, and Ms. Mikka, Marketing Communications Officer welcomed us. After that, we were ushered to lunch at Tradisyon Restaurant before proceeding with the day’s activities.

I shared a two-bedroom apartment suite on the first floor with Janelle and Cyrene. They each occupied the master bedroom and convertible sofa bed respectively while I slept on the guest bedroom.

We bonded over yummy Azalea’s hot chocolate on our second day while making our entry for the “Toss A Rose Salad” contest in the dining area & kitchenette.

Also, our room came with a spacious backview balcony where we shot our entry for the Ukay Ukay OOTD Challenge with Cheryl as our model.

And this time around I did not miss the hotel tour. We checked out a Family Fun-themed Deluxe hotel room on the 4th floor with an amazing frontview balcony.

In true Family Fun fashion, some of the boys and I played Scrabble after dinner on our second night.. up to two in the morning :p

I still woke up early on our last day to stretch my legs for the long drive home, soak up some Vitamin D and take photos before joining my friends for breakfast and packing up my stuff ๐Ÿ™‚

I won’t discuss about the accommodation arrangements in detail as I’ve already got that covered from my first visit in 2015.

Let’s talk about comforting conveniences instead.

I personally love creating itineraries and coordinating details but it can such a tedious task especially for a big group like ours. You go on vacation to relax and have a good time di ba?

Good thing Azalea Residences Baguio has a travel and vacation concierge for its guests. The head concierge himself, Sir Paul, was the one who came up with our itinerary together with Ms. Mikka and Ms. Josephine. He is also our guide, along with other hotel staff, just like last time.

One of our activities involved going up Mt. Yangbew in La Trinidad, Benguet. Upon reaching the summit, I had muscle cramps on my right leg and on our way back, I fell off the horse I was riding. Both legs cramped while we were at Strawberry Farm. I am thankful for the immediate medical service assistance by the in-house nurses, which is available 24/7.

Our stay involved a number of contests wherein we were required to post on our social media accounts. This is where the complimentary WiFi access came in handy. It also allowed me to communicate with family and friends (especially during my birthday) as well as get some work done.

It also has the following facilities and services: play area (which you saw earlier), handicapped accessible rooms, spa & massage services, function halls and meeting rooms, three (3) levels of basement parking, souvenir shop, driver’s quarters, valet parking and car hire, private car and taxi cab arrangement, laundry/pressing/dry cleaning services, daily local newspaper, business center and credit card payment facility.

Truly, whether staying indoors or exploring the City of Pines, Azalea Residences Baguio is your family’s holiday haven!
