Doggo lends a helping paw to Pawssion Project

June 29, 2022

Dogs are not only man’s best friend, but a source of pure happiness and companionship to most owners. As a way of giving back to the fur community and to champion a kinder world for people and animals, dog care brand Doggo recently conducted a corporate social responsibility initiative in cooperation with Pawssion Project, an organization that pushes for the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of animals in need.

This initiative is in line with Doggo’s commitment to provide fur parents with quality dog products, and to help with the wellbeing of the animal community. The cause was also supported by Purretty, a company that focuses on cat care essentials. Basic needs such as dog treats, dog cleaning products, cat litter products, and a sponsored spay and neuter drive were all included in the brands’ contribution to the animal-friendly cause.

Small step for a bigger change

As the country is seeing a dramatic rise of homeless cats and dogs, Doggo is helping to reduce the number of stray and neglected pets. One of the highlights of the project was the sponsored spay and neuter drive for in-house dogs at Pawssion Project and other cats and dogs in the area, where a total of 50 cats and dogs were sterilized.

The spay and neuter initiative is a priority for Pawssion Project. This is one of their missions in campaigning for responsible pet ownership and improvement of animal wellbeing. Pawssion Project is a non-profit organization that provides shelter to neglected animals with their goal to decrease the number of unwanted animals that will eventually end up in animal shelters. Being an organization that receives hundreds of reports about stray dogs and cats, Doggo spearheaded this initiative to assist Pawssion Project in their rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of stray cats and dogs in the country.

“It is our mission to rescue these dogs who can’t protect themselves.” says  Pawssion Project founder Malou Perez. “We want to foster a kinder environment for these animals through different initiatives that are rooted in our organization’s care for animals. We also hope that through these projects, we can educate pet owners on their responsibilities, and inform the masses that animals shouldn’t be neglected in the streets.”

It’s raining cats and dogs freebies

The giving spirit is in the air as the furry friends were showered with donations from Doggo. Doggo shared 15 gallons of Doggo shampoo and 50 packs of Doggo Chewy Bones for the dogs’ bathing and nutritional needs. The cats were also not left out with goodies as Purretty handed out an estimated 80 bags of Purretty Cat Litter for their hygiene essentials.

Doggo also welcomed Macky and Moo, a dog and a cat, into their family to show the strong partnership between Doggo and Pawssion Project to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome abused and abandoned animals.

A helping paw-tner

With Pawssion Project rescuing over 500 dogs around the country, they have urged pet lovers and rescuers to take action in adopting these animals in need of a home. Doggo shows its continued support in the adoption drives held by Pawssion Project with a Doggo Starter Kit pack. The pack includes two Doggo shampoos, one Doggo conditioner, one cleaning brush, and a Doggo treat, completing the essentials needed by a new paw parent.

“We are looking forward to more projects with Pawssion Project,” says Doggo CEO Kurt Cheng. “It is our commitment to help in the improvement of the wellbeing of these animals in need. Pawssion Project is a dedicated and passionate partner that keeps us inspired to help out pet owners and their fur babies through our quality products.”
