Weeks after A Blog’s Light event, I finally got to schedule to meet and talk with Jam. Coming from a product launch event in the area, I got Ate Tin and Ate Cha go with me since they didn’t have anything else scheduled.

I have a love-hate relationship with writing. I love it when I do it leisurely, same with reading, but I don’t like it as much when I’m required to. Oh the irony coming from someone who love to blog, eh? Yet it provided me the comfort of expressing myself amidst the noise — a small echo waiting to be heard, a gift from God waiting to be explored.
It’s funny when you have more than a dozen stories to tell but you don’t know where to start or how to put it into words. My first entry about the entire January mission trip shared experience was supposed to be about the Manila Business Leadership Seminar, but I’ve written out a semi-reflection entry to get started. I could publish it right now but I don’t want to give my readers incomplete information and resources. I’ll just go with what I can write about so don’t be surprised by non-sequential turn of events 😛
Me and Abby attended the 10am service at Victory Fort with Tita Cheryl, who is going back to the States the following day. Pastor Joey Bonifacio was back from overseas work/travel and the service focused on declarations. He defined declarations as a loud and clear communication and conviction. What we say can affect our lives (Proverbs 18:21a) and it can stir us either in the right or wrong direction, like a ship that’s controlled by a rudder (James 3:4-5a).
Saddleback Manila’s First Business Leadership Seminar (FREE!)
By Dems Angeles on January 22, 2013Leadership is a process whereby an individual influences a group of individuals to achieve a common goal. It is not dictated by a title or position. They say good leaders are made, not born among many things. Thus, companies invest time and money in developing this vital skill of their employees. However this could set you back at least PHP 3,000 per training. How about joining us this Saturday for a FREE business leadership seminar? This one’s on us 😉
A Number and 28 ‘Extension Line Codes’ You Should Memorize
By Dems Angeles on August 25, 2012There are times when we are consumed by our problems that we feel like there’s nothing we can do or there’s no one to help us. On other occasions we look for guidance in making decisions or when we travel, whether for work or vacation, because we worry that something wrong might happen. And there are those times where we’re looking for something that’s missing in our lives.
So who do we call?
UPDATE 05/08/2013: This article is featured at Cord of 3 Strands website! ♥
I’ve been single for quite some time now and as much as it would be nice to have someone, I know I can’t afford to be committed at the time being. I had two failed relationships in the past and a lot of realizations surfaced as time passed by. Aside from the pursuit to reach my dreams and my “things-I-must-accomplish-while-i’m-still-single”, I what to enjoy the freedom my unattached status entails me.
Things are better done with someone? I can agree, but there are things that you want to do for self-fulfillment.
Afraid to be ‘alone’? I used to be. But mind you, you and I never alone. We have ourselves, our families, our friends.
So now what? Way back from the person whose happiness is dependent on other people, this is what I say to everyone, especially to my fellow youth: don’t rush things. Stop the ‘PBB Teens‘ behavior. Learn to love yourselves first and accept the love of God. Finish school, get your ideal or dream job, save for your future, take care of your family and friends, strengthen your relationship with God.
Wait patiently and time will come you will meet the best person to spend the rest of your life with, as promised by Him. For those who were wounded in the past or shielding their hearts, when it comes, don’t resist it. A promise of happiness, contentment and fulfillment will come into your lives. ♥
I was so desperate for him to love me, to want me, to fight for me that I was literally grateful for any mere scrap of effort. I’d made so many excuses for his inability to treat me well that even the smallest gesture was amplified in my head.
Did I hit a spot?
Most people are able to relate to this quote.
If you are OR were a martyr in love, I’m 101% sure you’ve been in this situation and like everywhere else, you’re coined as someone stupid or desperate.
