The World Economic Forum (WEF)’s Global Shapers Community selected forty (40) host cities all over the world for its game-changing concept: Shaping Davos, where key issues parallel to WEF’s Annual Meeting will be discussed.
The Manila hub is blessed to be the only city to host two unique events on January 15-16, 2015 at Globe Valero Telepark, Makati City.
Interactive panels with key personalities from the government, development sector and the media will happen in the morning of the 15th. Senator Bam Aquino, Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) reform champion & WEF Young Global Leader, will be among the guest panelists.
Developers, designers, and project managers, join the two-day #MNLShapingDavos hackathon!
Come up with applications for the SK that will (a) improve awareness of SK roles in the community, (b) engage the community and the youth in SK activities, and (c) improve transparency and accountability in the SK. In other words, web or mobile apps that will promote good governance!
For a team of 3-5 members, ideally with (a) active youth/community leader with deep interest in good governance or previous experience with the SK, (b) strategy/business development person, (c) frontend/backend developer, and (d) graphic designer. A team member can take multiple roles.
Game? Registration is strictly via EventBrite only: http://tinyurl.com/MNLShapingDavos. Limited slots available.
Winners of the hackathon have the chance to have their ideas implemented and make the SK live up to its potential. There will also be exciting prizes awaits for the winning group.
The Manila Shaping Davos event is organized by Global Shapers (program) and Red Wizards Events & PR Strategies in partnership with Globe, McDonald’s, USAID, Young Public Servants, PH-LEAD, Microsoft and the city of San Juan.
