Taste of Japan at the Shang!

It’s a month full of Japanese arts and culture at Shangri-La Plaza as the metro’s top lifestyle destination hosts All Things Kawaii, a Japanese-themed lifestyle exhibit, complemented by cultural workshops that are open to the public, and an acclaimed film festival in celebration of the Philippines-Japan Friendship Month.

The All Things Kawaii lifestyle exhibit will showcase Japanese-themed products of participating tenants at the East Atrium from July 10 – 12. Partner brands Ambassador Appliances, Astrovision, Beauty Bar, Flight 001, Hobbes and Landes, Lock & Lock, Pismo Digital, Powerbooks, Scribe Writing Essentials, Shiseido, Toby’s Arena, and Urbanize are set to make the exhibit exciting for everyone with their product selling and exclusive offers.

July 11 is a date to mark for all craft enthusiasts. Happening at 2PM is the Origami Workshop by Origami Pilipinas and following at 3:30PM is the Anime/Manga Drawing Workshop by Stabilo and Zig Kuretake Philippines. All workshops are free of charge on a first come, first served basis.

The much-anticipated Eiga Sai Japanese Film Festival also runs from July 10 to 19 at Cinema 2 of the Shang Cineplex with a line-up that features 11 films that convey the rich culture of Japan. Flicks that explore the narratives behind Japanese cuisine such as Wa-shoku: Beyond Sushi, The God of Ramen,Patisserie Coin de rue and A Tale of Samurai Cooking are among the festival’s must-sees. Admission isalso free and on a first come, first served basis.
