(Love) Life Song – My Kind of Perfect

By on May 30, 2012

In conjunction to my earlier post about a past relationship, you might have noticed that aside from a change in theme, I also changed my blog’s title.

One day I went out of the house to buy street food beside our village’s main gate. On my way home, I was getting tired of listening to my favorite songs that I shuffled my playlist and try other tracks that were there but I never really listen to.

Then I came across David Archuleta‘s song from his 2010 album, “The Other Side of Down”. Listening intently to the lyrics, I found a connection to my current dilemma at the time. Add the crazy weather and my sudden preference for everything simple and viola~

The Results Companies, a leading Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) provider of Customer Experience Management (CEM) solutions, opened its third site last May 23, 2012 at Q Plaza, Cainta, Rizal. The celebration was attended by Cainta Mayor Mon Ilagan and Vice Mayor Roberto Sikat, various media personalities, as well as members of Results’ Executive Team.

The event started with a ribbon cutting ceremony, followed by the blessing of the facility, and a Q&A portion with Results’ Executive Team.

Ribbon cutting led by Cainta Vice Mayor Roberto Sicat, Results’ SVP for Operations Aaron Fender, Cainta Mayor Mon Ilagan, and President/COO Alec Brecker.

“The launch of Q Plaza is an exciting time for Results. The Philippine market has provided us with incredible success and we plan to continue the expansion of Q Plaza to a total of 750 seats over the next 12 months.”

– Results’ SVP of Operations Aaron Fender

During Q&A

The initial phase of the center’s build out will result in a 250-seat cutting edge contact center, equipped with the latest technology and amenities to support the work environment. An Awesome Microsoft In-VIRT-Edu2012: The First

By on May 27, 2012

Note: Sorry for the late post, I’ve been busy with stuff and events :3

After a whole day of listening to different speakers talking about various technologies and topics, the Microsoft In-VIRT-Edu2012 finally ended. Yes, VIRT as in virtual. From morning til past 4 pm, I was sitting in front of my PC and signing onto virtual conference rooms every after ~2 hours.

Not your typical seminar, the first Microsoft In-VIRT-Edu2012 happened on May 11, 2012, with speakers coming from different parts of the world. Using their newest software Microsoft Lync, which will be the replacement for the current enterprise software Office Communicator, people from all over the Philippines were able to attend the same event without the location constraints (one of the problems of event goers, aside from schedule conflict). In the comfort of your own homes, whether you just woke up or it’s late in the evening, you will be able to say ‘Present!’.

But the fun doesn’t stop there. Participants in Manila were able to attend the after party held in Hard Rock Cafe, Makati City. An estimate of 25 people were able to come with the main objective of grabbing the free jacket *insert evil smile here*

An Old Email: Quarter-life Crisis

By on May 9, 2012

Up until now, my old email accounts that I don’t use are still active. I check them once in a while and get rid of spam messages. Sometimes I look over old messages and read them. Yup, those messages our friends pass us like they do in SMS. Some are funny, some are inspiring.

Here’s one that I’ve found worth sharing. It now makes sense to me 🙂

It is when you stop going along with the crowd and start realizing that there are many things about yourself that you didn’t know and may not like. You start feeling insecure and wonder where you will be in a year or two, but then get scared because you barely know where you are now.  You start realizing that people are selfish and that, maybe, those friends that you thought you were so close to aren’t exactly the greatest people you have ever met, and the people you have lost touch with are some of the most important ones. What you don’t recognize is that they are realizing that too, and aren’t really cold, catty, mean or insincere, but that they are as confused as you.  You look at your job… and it is not even close to what you thought you would be doing, or maybe you are looking for a job and realizing that you are going to have to start at the bottom and that scares you.  Your opinions have gotten stronger. You see what others are doing and find yourself judging more than usual because suddenly you realize that you have certain boundaries in your life and are constantly adding things to your list of what is acceptable and what isn’t. One minute, you are insecure and then the next, secure. You laugh and cry with the greatest force of your life. You feel alone and scared and confused. Suddenly, change is the enemy and you try and cling on to the past with dear life, but soon realize that the past is drifting further and further away, and there is nothing to do but stay where you are or move forward.  You get your heart broken and wonder how someone you loved could do such damage to you. Or you lie in bed and wonder why you can’t meet anyone decent enough that you want to get to know them better. Perhaps you love someone who doesn’t love you back, or worse yet, loves someone else. Or maybe you love someone but love someone else too and cannot figure out why you are doing this because you know that you aren’t a bad person.  One night stands and random hook ups start to look cheap. Getting wasted and acting like an idiot starts to look pathetic.  You go through the same emotions and questions over and over, and talk with your friends about the same topics because you cannot seem to make a decision. You worry about loans, money, the future and making a life for yourself… and while winning the race would be great, right now you’d just like to be a contender!  What you may not realize is that everyone reading this relates to it.  We are in our best of times and our worst of times, trying as hard as we can to figure this whole thing out.

Worth reading and still rings true. 🙂

Zalora: Ylla Laura Black Ballet Shoes

By on

My mom and I was supposed to buy shoes for me to use since a pair of my black doll shoes were unfortunately included to the trash and the other one I was using when I met with her is already damaged. We did get to look around but there’s nothing that fits me. In the end she’s the one who got to bought home a pair :))

Anyway, since she cancelled our scheduled plans last Sunday, I thought of buying one online so that I can still go out and apply for jobs.

Yet another package that came in the mail today! It was delivered by the same LBC personnel from yesterday 🙂

Honestly, I was worried while placing the order because it’s my first time to buy a pair of shoes without actually fitting it. I’m on the plus size side and I definitely had to rely on my size in centimeters. I am so relieved that it fits me well and very much happy that the insoles are comfy.

Cute little accents ♥

It came with a shoe bag too (see first photo), though it isn’t waterproof. I’m just a little worried about the shoe itself when it rains, because of the other material of the shoe. Or not, since I’m planning to buy another pair as an alternative.

I bought this from Zalora and paid via Paypal also. It was for sale at P760 and shipping was free. They also have a 30-day free replacement policy, which makes me want to buy from them again in the future. Package was processed using Xend but they route to it LBC for provincial deliveries (funny, Antipolo doesn’t look provincial to me anymore lol).

Two down, one more to go. Can’t wait for it 🙂

Once in a Blue Moon, Supermoon

By on May 7, 2012

If it was possible, I would lay somewhere and do stargazing. I feel calm and happy whenever I see a lot of stars in the sky. This goes the same when I see a full moon, especially when a supermoon or it has an orange color.

A supermoon is the coincidence of a full moon (or a new moon) with the closest approach the moon makes to the Earth. I know this is kinda late but here are some wonderful photos of the supermoon last May 5 from Yahoo!.

Random Pseudo-Photowalk of the Uninspired (and Hungry)

By on May 1, 2012

I’ve been staying at home for the past couple of days, since I don’t go beyond my ten-minute immediate places to go to. It feels like forever and I’m very uninspired at the moment. Since I’ve been looking over the garage sale with my grandma since Saturday (there were people already buying that day since the items are organized already), I took a little walk around the village.

One of the small toys my Uncle bought home one day. Will try my hand on Toy Photography hmm..
Random pink flower on the street.
Random white flower with the pink one on the same bush?
Had to enhance this a couple of times using Photoscape since the tree part was very dark on the original photo :/

I ended my little walk with..

Fishball, Chicken Ball and Kikiam :3

Oh! First day of May and it rained! 😀
