Finding My Kind of Perfect Home with Property24 Philippines

August 29, 2015

The ultimate Filipino dream, for me, is not to get rich – but to live a comfortable life within a safe community, in a house we can call our own.

For the last three months, I’ve been commuting to Ortigas, taking away at least 3 hours of my time every day. Most days I would have dinner with my friends at SM Megamall before going home. There’s never a shortage of film festivals to attend at the Shangri-La Plaza Mall and I’ve yet to explore the restaurants within the CBD and the nearby Kapitolyo, Capitol Commons and Greenfield District areas. It would be nice if home was within walking distance, so as not worry about traffic/flooding and chill with friends.. for example, in this elegant condominium <3

The same thing goes with Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, with whom I have a love-hate relationship. It’s pedestrian-friendly but I need to take a cab to get home. But living in a condominium promises a grand time – access to 24/7 food joints when the craving strikes, The Mind Museum, The Lego Store, Kidzania, etc.! Plus points to its proximity to McKinley Hill, Ayala and Rockwell Powerplant, and for having a beautiful skyline view.

A second home away from the city sounds nice and a vacation home in Tagaytay is my top choice. There’s something alluring with a Swiss chalet or a log cabin coupled with the weather that gives you out-of-country feels <3

Everything up to now has been fancy shmancy of sorts. For me, nothing beats having a home with ample room for our family and possible guests, enough storage space (given how much stuff my brother owns ugh) and an outdoor area where we can relax and grow our food.

Our family is proud Marikenyo and I know it would make Nanay happy if we could live in the shoe capital again. She can have her room on the ground floor in this house with a backyard for urban farming. A two-storey structure will be our refuge when it rains, which can be my personal space to sleep in and work. You know, #introvertproblems :p

I can’t afford these now but it doesn’t hurt to plan, especially at my age. Thanks to #Property24PH for searching a #PerfectHome easier! <3

  1. This made me remember my 3rd-year-highschool declaration that I will buy a house-and-lot package before 2014. Turns out it takes more than 10 years to get that. But thanks to this, Demi! Been looking for agencies where I can inquire a rent-to-own house. (I find it easier and less hassle instead of renting an apartment.) Cheers to your blog! (Btw, I like the new format!)
