Hello 22! -Part 1- :)

By on April 2, 2012

Late post again. This time it’s about my birthday!

I passed by Ms. Ryne’s office before I fetched Ate Bernz (who was insisting that we have dinner together since I cancelled the overnight bonding a day before). We went around the mall to eat snacks and play at Timezone. Dropped by her house a bit to get stuff then went grocery shopping (since I pushed through the event last minute).

By on

I’m on the quest of a list of books to read this year (so I can build my cafe into something similar to the picture above.. just joking :P). No Harry Potter, Twilight, The Hunger Games nor books by Paulo Coelho or Nicholas Sparks too. I’ve already read those.

Some Things Never Change: A Happy Day with ‘Family’ :)

By on March 19, 2012

It’s funny where life takes us. The places we go to, the people we meet along the way, the experiences and lessons we forever keep in our hearts.. I always believe there’s a reason for everything. Simple hi-hello, invitation to eat when she was eating or simple questions about series, movies or books.

Because I was their brother’s then-girlfriend.

Blast from the Past: Steampunk

By on February 21, 2012

I have a fascination with Steampunk items. Maybe it was influence from anime or games but I don’t know when I started to take a liking.

What is Steampunk anyway?

In three short words: Victorian science fiction, where Victorian references to a time period and an aesthetic: the industrialized 19th century.

To me, it’s more than brass, gears and watchparts. I regard each piece as art. Take a look at some pieces that I like:

A Tale of a Working Student to a Full Time Freelancer & VA

By on February 18, 2012

There was only one institution that I wanted to go to for college, but aside from the fact that I didn’t make it on the quota, my family thought it was very far. I was ready to apply for another course, even if I didn’t specify one but they really didn’t want me to. Geez, it was like 15mins away without traffic, add it to the things that they exaggerate.

Reluctantly I enrolled to the school, which was walking distance from our house and costs more than my choice, but I took the course that I wanted too. Not nursing, not any course that my relatives took.

Slowly, changes happened and life became difficult. It was not because of my course load nor my list of Computer Science core subjects that I am encountering for the first time.

It’s because I can’t afford to study anymore.
