By on August 25, 2012

There are times when we are consumed by our problems that we feel like there’s nothing we can do or there’s no one to help us. Singlehood and Rushing into Relationships for Dummies

By on August 21, 2012

UPDATE 05/08/2013: This article is featured at Cord of 3 Strands website! ♥

I’ve been single for quite some time now and as much as it would be nice to have someone, I know I can’t afford to be committed at the time being. I had two failed relationships in the past and  a lot of realizations surfaced as time passed by. Aside from the pursuit to reach my dreams and my “things-I-must-accomplish-while-i’m-still-single”, I what to enjoy the freedom my unattached status entails me.

Things are better done with someone? I can agree, but there are things that you want to do for self-fulfillment.

Afraid to be ‘alone’? I used to be. But mind you, you and I never alone. We have ourselves, our families, our friends.

So now what? Way back from the person whose happiness is dependent on other people, this is what I say to everyone, especially to my fellow youth: don’t rush things. Stop the ‘PBB Teens‘ behavior. Learn to love yourselves first and accept the love of God. Finish school, get your ideal or dream job, save for your future, take care of your family and friends, strengthen your relationship with God.

Wait patiently and time will come you will meet the best person to spend the rest of your life with, as promised by Him. For those who were wounded in the past or shielding their hearts, when it comes, don’t resist it. A promise of happiness, contentment and fulfillment will come into your lives. ♥

Biblical advice for those rushing in relationships
Don’t you want a love story like that? 🙂

Taylor Swift’s Back with a Vengeance

By on

Last time I’ve looked up Taylor Swift was when I discovered that she’s singing two songs for the movie The Hunger Games. The eerie looking music video of the song Safe and Sound (which  features The Civil Wars) fits the scene of Rue dying in the arms of Katniss to a T, like telling her, “Time to rest little one, you don’t have to suffer anymore.” The other song “Eyes Open”, which wasn’t included in the film but is listed on the soundtrack album, talks about Katniss’ relationship with the Capitol.

Months later, the lead single of her upcoming fourth album “Red” is widely talked about on Twitter.

Suzuki’s helpful tips on cleaning motorcycles submerged in flood

By on August 20, 2012

I remember while me and my brother were walking in the flood caused by the monsoon rains, there was a motorcycle that was left outside and submerged in water. We sighed “sayang“. The next day, it was still there, unlike other motorcycles in the village that were transferred by their owners in an elevated area.

To ensure the good running condition of your motorcycle, have your unit checked and serviced by an accredited mechanic from your dealership.

Do you or your friend own a motorcycle that was submerged in flood? Suzuki mechanics are ready to assist you with your submerged motorcycle units with these helpful tips:

  • With the ignition switch turned “off”, remove spark plug and kick-start to remove water inside combustion chamber.
  • Then, clean the Suzuki Motorcycle Unit with clear running water (pressurized water spray recommended). If seawater flood, immediately wash and lubricate with anti-rust.
  • Drain the oil by removing drain plug and engine oil cap.
  • Apply compressed air into oil filler hole to push out remaining oil and water inside crankcase.  Replace oil and oil filter with Suzuki Genuine Oil and Suzuki Genuine Oil Filter.
  • Clean and dry wiring harness and check all connectors for possible dirt/mud residue. Inspect all electrical parts (CDI, IGNITION COIL, IGNITION SWITCH, ALL RELAY, ALL BULB AND SOCKET, SPEEDOMETER PANEL ASSEMBLY, AND BATTERY).
  • Remove the air box and carburetor assembly. Clean air box assembly and replace with new air filter. Have the carburetor assembly over-hauled and make sure to clean all jets, air passage and gasoline passage.
  • Drain all gasoline from the fuel tank and check if contaminated with water.
  • Clean and lubricate throttle grip, throttle cable, clutch cable, brake cables and starter cable. Clean also the front and rear brake system and re-grease all wheel bearing. Remove and hang muffler to dry.

Remember, pressurized washing might take out the existing grease in most parts; see to it that new grease will be applied in the steering stem and other parts that require it.

Some of the items above, you can do yourself, but for the most part, the experts are on hand to serve your needs and get you back on the road. Please have your Suzuki unit checked and serviced by an accredited Suzuki mechanic from any Suzuki 3s shop or Suzuki Moto Center nearest you. For complete listing, please visit www.suzuki.com.ph or call Suzuki Customer Care Hotline at 902-1001.

And keep in mind to properly dispose of used oil, fuel, and filter. Those floods serve to remind us of the urgent need to save our environment.
